This dream will come true someday.... "Wasatch Bike Blvd" This continuously offset (behind barricades) Bike and Pedestrian path starts where the "Parley's trail" ends and could go as far as Draper... I'm hoping it will go from 3300 S all the way to the mouth of LCC 9400 S..... Meet you at the "Drum circle" or "The food trucks at the park n ride" or any spot in the evening to watch the setting Sun....It will be like a park with many picnic tables and benches ...
Do something with these sound walls and restore the view...
Bike path on the right side of this fence (this fence is all it takes to have a barrier, keeping peds and bikes off the main road.)
Move this chainlink fence west (Old mill Golf club) restore the view and add a green space with benches and flower gardens...
The mouth of Big Cottonwood is a major link (This would be a great spot for the "Wasatch Welcome Center") BCC trail connects here
This sidewalk could have been wider to accommodate the bike barrier
When a third Automobile lane is added from near the swamp lot south to the mouth of LCC ...Add the gem section of the"Wasatch Bike Blvd" include a park strip with commemorative park benches, BBQ pits and private picnic areas... even a bonus boardwalk section.
The end of the Bike Blvd at the mouth of LCC will include 2 pedestrian bridges to connect to the new preferred parking zone. The park and ride lot connected to the Quarry trailhead lot... Some how combine them with a 20 mph auto zone........ Add the "Wasatch Welcome Center" A BIG, Well lite up with street lights, Snow tire chain on area with helpers, Temp Dog Kennels (Heated in winter)
